Leila Dragon Fly Necklace

The meaning of the word femininity has evolved and expanded over time. However, traditionally, women were only allowed to live their definition of femininity in safe spaces. Jharokhas were one such safe space available to them. This enclosed balcony created a space for women to be themselves, care for themselves, and be free.

Our Leila Dragon Fly necklace pays homage to this sanctuary. The piece is strung with a hand-carved jharokha-inspired wooden pendant, with a small square of sheer chanderi fabric that mimics the curtains in the balcony. Additionally, subtle elements of nature have been added to capture the surroundings.
